County Shoot For The Cure
The
“Orange County Shoot for the Cure” is an inaugural charity event to raise money for the fight against cancer. Proceeds from this event will benefit two Orange County organizations, both of whom committed to health care services, research, prevention, education and the elimination of cancer.Joe DiPenta, defenseman, of the 2006-2007 Stanley Cup Champion Anaheim Ducks invites you to join him for a day of Hocky Skills Competition. Proceeds from this event will go towards the Children's Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) Oncology Floor and to the American Cancer Society (Cancer Research).

WHY?

Despite the advances in cancer prevention and treatment, more than 11,000 Orange County residents are expected to receive a cancer diagnosis this year, and more than 4,000 are expected to die from this horrible disease.

Given the impact to our community, we chose to support ACS and CHOC. These are two organizations that are committed to the prevention and/or treatment of cancer patients, and their work benefits our local community.
WHAT: Hockey Skills Competition
- A Hockey Skills Competition for children up to the age of sixteen. There will be three “divisions” and each child will get to compete in three different skills events. Players from the Anaheim Ducks will be present to participate and to give instructions during the competition. The event is limited to the first 150 kids to register.Get “In the Rink” and enjoy these activities!

Shootout: Test your skills against the pros! Grab a hockey stick and score on a goalie!

Hardest Shot: Give us your best shot! A radar gun will time the speed of the puck!

Accuracy shot: How good is your aim? Test your accuracy against targets in the goal.
Note: All hockey equipment to be provided and kids to wear tennis shoes
Age Divisions:
Under 9 years, 9-12 years and 12-16 yearsIndividual Entrance Fee for Competition - $100/person
Participants in the competition will receive:
T-shirts, Lunch to be provided by Mimi’s café , Prizes will be awarded in each event and age division, Autographs and photos with players from the Anaheim Ducks

General Admission Ticket - $10/person – includes lunch and all the activities at the event!
